Katsuyuki Ninomiya
Katsuyuki Ninomiya’s practice encompasses all aspects of intellectual property law, including patent preparation and prosecution, IP litigation, validity and infringement opinions, client counseling in intellectual asset management in the fields of chemical, mechanical and electrical engineering, and software.
Mr. Ninomiya has prepared and successfully prosecuted a large number of Japanese patent applications in a wide variety of fields for Japanese and foreign clients including medical devices, packaging materials, health care devices, bone regeneration materials development. He also prepared and prosecuted a number of computer software patents including designing and manufacturing systems for customizable furniture.
He has prepared a large number of non-infringement and invalidity opinions of Japanese patents for foreign counsels who represent the U.S. and European companies. His emphasis is to have close communications with the clients under attorney-client privileges, which are attained by his licenses in Japan and the U.S.
